Well I thought I’d do a round up of all the kickstarters out there at the moment for the Gamer that have taken my interest of late.
So far I have only gone in at the £1 level on the Warzone Resurrection Kickstarter but I will be looking to up that one when I decide what it is I want from it since I currently have 3 armies for the original game which I will be digging out to see what they look like since they were painted 20 years ago!
Wild West Exodus would be my second choice for my time and money but as you can tell I’m already in deep with Malifaux that the game does seem to have a lot of similarities which I could just see me going back to Malifaux (but it is my main game if I’m wanting to play something).
Next we have Empire of the Dead which fits into the Gothic Victorian aspect again which you can fit into Malifaux but it has something that has been appealing to someone who loved the early 1900s for the Call of Cthulhu RPG.
And lastly we have Hell Dorado which has been around for a couple of years and when I have seen the figures I really have liked them but for the gameplay I have no idea. I do remember Josh over at the Twilight Emporium building a game board for it which I also thought would be great for Malifaux (again you can see my game preference) so it would be interesting seeing what else is happening with the game itself.
There are some others out there but personally there has been no interest in Torn, Loka or the 3Doodler.
So if your interest check out the links below!
Thanks for the shout out. Hell Dorado is a pretty fun game, the mechanics use a unique 5 dice system as well as a mini pre-game in which you build your battlefield. In my opinion it’s different enough from Malifaux to act as a filler game, I can’t really see it as a main game but the models are great and the story is interesting.
I haven’t decided if I’m going to back the new book or just wait for it to come out. Currently the rewards seem to just be an ok discount off retail prices.
