More Belial WIP

As everyone at this time of year is busy, so have I. We’ve had the kids away this week which when I thought I’d have some time to do some painting but that has been thrown to the wayside. I did manage to grab about 30 minutes to get some more work done on Belial last night as you can see below.

I know he’s darker than the traditional bone style but he will be brought up to a bone type colour when he is finished.

I still am unsure about the robes on him so if anyone has any ideas or wants to add to the poll on the side as we have it sitting even at 2 votes each.

Also I have to admit building a force which is from an unfavorable codex makes it easy to pick up things cheap. I did a wonder through ebay and picked up the current Dark Angels Codex for $12.50 shipped. That’s better than going to the store and picking it up for $48!

I just need to get 2 terminator blank shoulder pads and one more assault cannon to have everything I need!

Anyway here’s the pictures sorry for the quality they were taken quickly with my phone.

Green Robes. Definitely green robes. White on bone looks bad a lot of times, and If you’re sticking with true DA, you’re going to be better off with green robes instead of black.

Thanks for that aom. I’m still not sure on the Green… I think I’ll finish up the rest of the armour and then do a test to see how it looks.

I wasn’t planning on making anything apart from deathwing for my Dark Angels so adding that link to the rest of the army won’t be needed.

As for the bone it is going to be a darker battle worn bone compared to the crisp GW bone style. From what I’ve done so far I won’t even be taking it to a bleached bone colour at all with the closest being a mix of Bleached Bone and Dheneb Stone as the extreme highlight.

    Thanks again for the feedback.
